My Bucket List

Hi!

Have you seen the movie The Bucket List? If not you've got to rent it ASAP.

It's great it's with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.

Well, anyway they create a list of things they want to do before they die.

Well, I was just thinking about that and I know that I have a list of things I'd like to do but I just hadn't written it down anywhere. So why not post it here.

So here's my list.

1. To become a mom
2. Go to Hawaii
3. Go camping with my hubby
4. To be on a Design Team
5. Learn to surf
6. Go to the Philippines
7. Go to France
8. Spend a weekend in Vegas
9. Go to the Grand Canyon
10. Go to Washington, D.C.
11. Go to New York City
12. Go to Disney Land
13. To go on a mission

So that's my list.

Happy Crafting.

Cutie Pie

Hi!

I created this card for the High Hopes Stamps Guest Designer Call.

I don't currently have any of the High Hopes stamps but they are super cute and I will definitely be ordering some of their stamps soon. I would love to be able to be a Guest Designer for them. This card was designed using the High Hopes Challenge #17 for the sketch.

This stamp and the designer paper that I used are all by Imaginisce. The sentiment stamp is by Studio G and I think it fit perfectly with the cute little fox stamp.

I used my blender pen to color in the cute little fox. And I used this stamp because it reminds me of the stamps that I saw in the High Hopes line.

Oh and I got to try this cool new ribbon from DCWV it's adhesive ribbon. They should have thought of it years ago. Until now I've been running my ribbon through my Xyron to get adhesive on the back in order to cut down on wasting my mono adhesive.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Studio G stamp, Imaginisce Foxy stamp
Paper: CM Cardstock White, SU! Designer paper, Imaginisce Mushroom Fancy, Lady Bug Ball
Ink: VersaColor VC-82 Black, VC-156 Raspberry, SU! Classic More Mustard, Scrappy Cat Chocolate Truffle
Accessories: Blender Pen, Ribbon, DCWV Missy Adhesive Ribbon

Happy President's Day

Hi!

Happy President's day.

Here's some Presidential trivia for you:

Fourteen Presidents served as vice presidents: J. Adams, Jefferson, Van Buren, Tyler, Fillmore, A. Johnson, Arthur, T. Roosevelt, Coolidge, Truman, Nixon, L. Johnson, Ford, and George H.W. Bush.

Vice Presidents were originally the presidential candidates receiving the second-largest number of electoral votes. The Twelfth Amendment, passed in 1804, changed the system so that the electoral college voted separately for president and vice president. The presidential candidate, however, gradually gained power over the nominating convention to choose his own running mate.

Presidents Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy were assassinated in office.

Assassination attempts were made on the lives of Jackson, T. Roosevelt, F. Roosevelt, Truman, Ford, and Reagan.

Eight Presidents died in office: W. Harrison (after having served only one month), Taylor, Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Harding, F. Roosevelt, and Kennedy.

Presidents Adams, Jefferson, and Monroe all died on the 4th of July; Coolidge was born on that day.

Kennedy and Taft are the only presidents buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

The ancestry of 42 presidents is limited to the following seven heritages, or some combination thereof: Dutch, English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Swiss, or German.

Barack Obama is the first African American to be elected president of the United States. He was also born in Hawaii, making him the first president not born in the continental United States.

And just like me Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii, although he got to stay there longer then I did. My bio dad was in the Navy.

Now that you know what today is all about you can share some trivia with others out there while you enjoy another day of great 2-day only sales. Like the fact that Micheal's has 50% off coupons good for yesterday and today only. Tomorrow it goes to 40% off. Oh and you can use them on some great Martha punches. I just got 2 yesterday and I will have to create some cards with them after work to show them to you.

Plus, Saturday I received my package from DRS Designs. I don't know what they called it, but it's pretty cool because it's double sided adhesive. Also I met a really nice TAC and she gave me a cool stamp to try out. It's the best of both worlds because it uses acrylic blocks and is a rubber stamp. And unlike Sale-a-bration that comes around once a year (plus you have to spend $50) they give a free stamp for every $30 purchased and that's in the front of their cattie.

love

love

Hi!

Happy Valentine's day everyone!

I don't know what dh & I are doing today since my tooth still hurts from the root canal yesterday. Well, at least I finally got the root canal done. Now I just have to get a hold of my regular Dentist to schedule putting on the crown. Since, it's like a conspiracy that the regular Dentist can't do a root canal but can do a crown and the "Specialty Dentist" can do a root canal but not a crown. What's up with that?

Oh well, dh will probably just want me to rest today. He is a sweetheart though because since we knew they were going to finally hopefully get all this mess of a root canal done. He bought me my box of chocolates last weekend.

Anyway, I love this couple stamp. It's super cute. I actually used it for the Shoebox Swap that I did in San Antonio and mid cleaning I found that card. So I will have to post a pic later.

Anyway, I joined in a challenge on PCP for Special Valentine "Sweet Treat" Challenge!

We were to pick our top 3 choices for what we wanted for Valentine's.

And then later we found out that they applied to embellishments we would use on a card.

So I picked:

1, New Craft Workspace - Stitching either hand or machine
2. Romantic Dinner with that Special Someone - Pattern Paper
3. Heart Shaped box of chocolates - Brads or Eyelets

I used the Sketches! recipe challenge Recipe Challenge #35. The brads are heart shaped and I used 2 of them.

And the card used the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge Laura's Sketch 19.

Materials Used:
Stamps: American Art Stamp Couple in love
Paper: SU! designer paper, CM Cardstock Black, White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic YG11 Mignonette, Y02 Canary Yellow, BV04 Blue Berry, RV13 Tender Pink, E00 Skin White
Accessories: Joann Fabric brads, Quickutz Lemonade alphabet, Bazzill Basics Ribbon Black Dashed

By the way in case you decide you like the look of the Copic pens remember to only use Fade-resistant dye ink or the ink will run all over your pretty coloring. I use Memento by Tsukineko. Just giving you a heads up.

some bunny loves you

Hi!

I created this card using the Card Positioning System CPS102 sketch.

I used papers from my scrap pile.

The bunnies and sentiment were created using my Studio G acrylic stamp set. And the bunnies were created using the same stamp. I stamped the bunny and cut the first one out then I taped that bunny to another scrap of paper to create the 2nd bunny.

Then I used Fun Flock in Cotton Ball White to make the bunnies fuzzy.

I will try to work on some more cards. But I'm pretty tired from getting the root canal this morning.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Studio G
Paper: CM Cardstock White, Pink Lemonade, Cactus
Ink: VersaColor VC-82 Black
Accessories: Flowers, Quickutz Nesting Flowers CC-FLOWERS-01, Stampendous Fun Flock Cotton Ball White, Target See Spot Save brad, Fiskars Threading Water Scalloped punch

As featured on Cuttlebug Challenge

Hi!

OK. So I haven't created any new cards yet.

I will definitely be busy creating today after work because I don't think dh wants me to do any over the Valentine's weekend. Since it's kinda our anniversary. He proposed Valentine's Day 2002.

Well, so I wanted to share the good news with you. My Cupcake Love card is being one of the cards that is on Cuttlebug Challenge's Love Cards with Cuttlebug - Be Inspired #17 (Entries). All the card entries are super cute and can be viewed there, including mine.

Maybe someday I'll win but for now it's fun to create without any pressure. Plus, since I'll be teaching classes starting in March, still have to work out the deets. That's enough pressure in my life right now.

Well, I'm off to get ready for the Dentist today. I'm supposed to get a root canal today. Cross your fingers and say a prayer cause I'm really getting sick of the whole deal.

Cool but scary

OK.

So the RS ladies came to visit and guess what.

They want me to teach a card making class to the ladies at Church.

Which is cool but scary. Since, I don't sell stamps but I do sell paper.

So now I have to figure out what kind I'll be teaching.

Ughh! Why?!?

Well, it looks like I will have to catch up on all my card projects this weekend. Or at least pretty late Thursday night.

The RS Presidency @ my ward wants to come over on Thursday. Which means that I have to clean my craft room which currently is my living room @ least until dh gets a shed and gives me his office.

Which is the one room in our house with direct sunlight and has the most amount of space in it. That is once dh gets his shed.

So until Thursday or Friday. I will see you later.

So that's my family. Aren't they cute.

dove love

Hi!

I love this card. Mostly because it uses a lot of punches and die cuts.

The hearts are made with my Sweet Heart Maker (Creative
Memories). The doves are Martha Stewart, I got them at the after
Christmas sale at Micheal's.

The stamp is by Studio G. The Glitter Glue on the hearts in the stamp
is also by Studio G.

I used the Sketches! by tamara Card Sketch #81 to create this card.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Studio G
Paper: CM Cardstock Cranberry, White, Doodlebug Glitter Cupcake cardstock
Ink: VersaColor VC-82 Black, Studio G Glitter Glue
Accessories: Quickutz Nesting Flowers CC-FLOWERS-01, SU! Ticket Corner punch, Martha Stewart Dove punch, CM Sweet Heart Maker, CM Tearing Tool, SU! button

It does pay ...

To enter challenges and giveaways.

I won a roll of the best adhesive ever used!!! (That's what DRS says.)

It is a roll of two sided tape (1/2" x 36 yards) and all I had to do was leave a comment on the post indicating which DRS image is my favorite!

When I told dh he was too funny. He said is it a lifetime supply and I
said who would give away a lifetime supply of adhesive. But in case
you do know where I could enter to win a lifetime supply of adhesive
it would make dh happy.

I will definitely let you know when I get the adhesive and if it really is
the best ever.

Happy Crafting.

Cupcake love

Hi!

I'm so excited I just got my Amuse acrylic Cupcake set so of course, I had to use it.

I also used this sentiment from a Studio G acrylic set.

cupcake love - closeupI paper pieced the cupcake and used Fabric Applique for the cupcake top.

I took the Cuttlebug Challenge to make a Love Card with Cuttlebug. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to create the background.

I also took the Recipe Challenge #34 on Sketches! by Tamara for this card too. The cupcake is sitting on Quickutz Nesting Flowers CC-FLOWERS-01. The brads are on the title. I think the brads are super cute and this is my first chance to use these brads. And the ribbon is under the die cut.

Thank you for looking.

Hi!

Well my dh says I make too many cards.

I say no such thing. There are too many beatiful stamps and paper out there just begging to be used for a card.

I created this card using CPS101 from Card Positioning Systems.

I actually think I will make another card with this sketch today. So I'll let you see what I create. If I do it will use my new Hero Arts Stamp set that I bought while I was at ScrapMania.

I got this designer paper at ScrapMania at Archiver's this Friday when I was there with the girls.

I think the dp is really pretty.

Materials Used:
Stamps: SU! Circle of Friendship

Hi!

Since I'm not feeling well today. It was time that I relaxed and this is the perfect card for that.

I love these designer papers, although I don't remember who made them. They remind me of the Lilly Pulitzer line. Which I think is just fresh and summery.

I created this card for the Stamp Something Challenge - Summer in Winter Somethings.

I used the card sketch challenge on Card Positioning System CPS#100

Stamps: Studio G stamp

Superbowl, Sizzix, Sundaes & Scrapbooking

Hi!

I just spent today at my SU! Consultants house (it is actually still going on but I had a ride over so you know how that goes) using Sizzix and other dies and eating. It was a lot of fun.

I didn't get any scrapbooking done but I did get to make a lot of die cut pieces. Which I will use in scrapbooking and cardmaking.

Plus, I just got the SU! catalog. So I might not be on for as long as I like today.

Although I do have some challenges that I was hoping to get done so who knows.

Happy Crafting.
