Hi!

It's been a while since I created a card just because I wanted to.

And that's why I created this card because I liked it and was really inspired.

Sometimes when I am in the process of creating a card it just hits me as to what ingredients to use. Does that happen to you? Or am I just weird?

I saw this really great sketch on Card Patterns, it's CP Sketch#12.

And the challenge over at Charisma Cardz Thursday Craft Challenges. Their Challenge #17 is Thank You's. Which is why it's a "merci" card.

Plus, I love the pattern of this paper and it reminds me of French style.

Materials Used:
Stamps: SU! Merci
Paper: CM Cardstock White, Raspberry, Honeydew, Basic Grey Pattern Paper Euphoria/Trance/Eup-1260

Ink:
Stazon Royal Purple
Accessories: Nestabilities - Labels One, Bazzill Basics Paper Bitty Blossoms, unknown

Coming soon to MSB

Hi!

We were given permission to post an image that is coming soon on Modern Sugar Blvd.

So I figured I might as well post the one that I found the most challenging.

SheetLoad DT Call

Hi!

I used sketches from SheetLoad of Cards e-zine for all the cards. They are having
a Design Team Call.

Their sketches are fantastic and I highly recommend you to check them out, here.

I should have had these completed earlier but I'm feeling under the weather. I had
to get dh to buy me $90 cough medicine. That's sick, trust me I never spend that much
on anything.

Just got back from the Garage Sale

Hi!

Just wanted to let you know how the Garage Sale went.

Well, at least I didn't have to be there hardly at all today, just to pick up my stuff and shop around a bit.

Well at least I made enough to get a stamp set and a stamp. Actually, I had to pay 25 cents.

So I'm going to have to figure out some other way to buy my Consultant kit for The Angel Company.

Plus, now I've still got all this stuff that I already tried to sell at the last garage sale I went to. UGH!!!

Oh well at least it's in a box. Plus, I heard that Felicia's is having another Garage Sale. But they only pay in store credit.

And I really need the cash to help buy my kit.

Oh well.

On the up side they asked me again at Church about doing a card making class. They asked for just 2 cards. I guess to not overwhelm anyone. So now I've got to come up with those, unless I use a card that I've already made to teach the class.

Hope your Sunday is going well.

Happy Crafting.

M.E.

Garage Sale today

Hi!

Cross your fingers for me or if you're in Austin, TX area come out and help by shopping at the Garage Sale today.

As dh said we would get to talk after I saw how much money I brought in at the Garage Sale. Which is why I'm hoping it goes well.

Last year I sold everything I brought. Woo hoo. I'm hoping it goes as well this year.

I've been looking through The Angel Company catalog trying to figure out what it is that I want to get for my kit. They let you pick what you want in your kit. That's a BIG plus for me as far as this company goes as well as the low quota.

I've been a Pampered Chef and am on a leave of absence from being a Creative Memories Consultant(quotas sky high $500 per quarter). Plus, just by taking a stroll through my blog you'll see that I'm more of a card maker than a scrapbooker.

DH knows that but since I've also done those other 2 businesses he doesn't want me to sign up just for the kit.

On top of that my meetup groups Organizer won't post my crop/classes because there's already 2 SU!(Organizer & her downline) and 1 CTMH, although no one goes to the CTMH's crops because she starts then at 8pm and ends at midnight and she's about 30 min. away from the rest of our group.

She will post my crops if I do them for FREE because we need more FREE crops on the calendar. But I was already having to do that anyway when I was doing CM crops, because most of the group is card makers and not scrapbookers. And the Organizer wouldn't let me teach card making classes since that's what she does.

Don't get me wrong I love my meetup group and the Organizer is the best.

Oh, well I still want my kit and even if I have to come up with my quota. Which I had to do as a CM, it's only 1/5 of the price that I spent before. And I'll actually use it rather than having it sit here in our house.

Happy Crafting.

Amuse Bouche - deux

Hi!

So I was just strolling through the blogosphere and saw that Amuse is
doing another Amuse bouche.

It's super cute baby stamps. Plus Asian themed stamps! Yay! Asian
themed stamps are my fave right now. But I guess since I LOVE Hello
Kitty that's probably why I prefer my Asian themed stamps to be
more cute then sophisticated.

And I love Amuse stamps already. They're one of the few wood block
stamps that I'll buy besides SU!

I do so hope that the new stamps will be acrylic stamps because I'm
more ready to buy them since they're easier to store.

Guess I'll have to ask my mil. She's the closest scrapbook store within
50 miles of me that sells Amuse.

Check out the Amuse Bouche here.

Merci Bouquet

Hi!

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated.

Darn life got in the way of my crafting again. You know work, and
Visiting Teacher came over, which meant cleaning so she could come

Oh and I've seen more of the stamps that Modern Sugar Blvd is
debuting and they are super cute. Remember the store opens on the
20th. That's when you get to see the super cute new stamps. For now
we're only able to give you a sneak peek of each stamp.

And I've got to price my scrappin' supplies that I'm done with. I'm
taking them over today for the Scrapbook Garage Sale on Sunday.

I really do hope I can sell it all. DH and I talked and he says it's my
money so I can use it to buy my TAC kit. Which is why I'd like to sell it all.

Now onto my card.
Merci Card

I created this card using The Sweetest Thing's Sweet Sunday Sketch

it's TPE - Challenge #10 to use the colors Pink, Green, and Yellow.

Sweet Cupcake + a video

sweet cupcake

Hi!

I created this card using the sketch challenge over at High Hopes
Stamps. It's Challenge #25.

Something about circles always reminds me of cupcakes.

Which is the challenge over at CCEE Stampers which was to make a
cupcake card. Plus they're offering blog candy for using any cupcake
stamp on your card. Check it out here.

Plus, over at House Mouse & Friends have Challenge #32 Something
Sweet. And cupcakes are always sweet. Plus the sentiment is You're
Sweet.

I also got to use my new SU! dp. I just got it Friday night at our crop.

Here's the video:

After watching the video I realized that the parts where you can't see
the image is actually when I tried to hold the image up to the camera
to show you. But of course, it's me so you don't get to see that.

So here is a close up of the finished image.

Let Our Own Light Shine

Hi!

I love the poem that you are about to read. The first time I remember hearing it
was during the movie Akeelah and the bee. If you haven't seen it you definitely
should. Like a lot of good movies it was originally a book, I think it may even
be one of Oprah's faves.

LET OUR OWN LIGHT SHINE

Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves:
'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others."
~originally by Marianne Williamson ~ often attributed to Nelson Mandela

Remember that today is Good Friday and that Sunday is Resurrection
Sunday. We are all children of God and he loves us so much that
he sent is only begotten Son to atone and die for us that we might be
with him again.

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Crafting.

Asian Inspiration

asian fusion
Hi!

I created this card using the Sketch Challenge at Inspirational Card
Sketches. It's ICSketches #11.

The ingredients are from the Sketches! by tamara Recipe Challenge
#43. Which is to create a card or layout using the following items:
  • Stitching = Prism Skein
  • Brads = red flower brads
  • Cut out flower from Patterned Paper = Quickutz Nesting Flowers
I like how it turned out. Plus, I got to use 2 acrylic stamp sets that I
really like a lot. Also from this pic you can see that I made the face
more 3D.

Plus, I get to create something very Asian. Which is something that
my mom uses in decorating her home. Not to mention cuisine. Hey
what can I say we're Asian. My mom & Step-dad are Filipino. I'm
half but most Americans don't recognize it. DH did that's part of why
he liked me. Other Filipinos can tell though, I say it's the nose.

Him & his youngest sis like a little Asian Fusion in their marriage.
They both married half Asian people. Everyone else married Anglos.
(DH is the baby of 6.)

Materials Used:
Stamps: Hero Arts - Four Dolls, Amuse Artistamps
Paper: CM Cardstock White, Black, Cranberry

Ink: VersaColor 82 Black, Copic E00 Skin White, W2 Warm Gray, R35 Coral, RV13 Tender Pink, SU! Classic Chocolate Chip, Marvy Brush Marker No. 48 Leaf Green

DT Call

Hi!

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that over on
Live*Laugh*Love*Create there is a DT Call for her new
challenge blog Digital Tuesday Challenge.

I would love to be considered for this Design Team.

I created my blog to share my cards with you. And I love to stamp.

I just found digital stamps through the Modern Sugar Blvd.'s
DT Call. You can get the image here. And also use it quick cause
today is the deadline for submitting to their DT Call.

Digi stamps are very cool because you get to change up the size.
Which you don't get to do with other stamps.

And you can play with them just like you do other stamps too. I
encourage you to visit Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's
challenge is to create something Shabby Chic with your digital
stamps.

Do you Scrapbook or make cards?

Hi!

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

See I got into CM because I was making albums a lot.

But that's not really where I am in my life right now.

As you can see when you visit my blog. I primarily create
cards. Which I love.

I was discussing this with a friend of mine and she understands
because cards are easier and you can see the result right away.

Whereas creating an album is a process.

Now, I do love CM but really I can't personally afford to keep up
their quota. Which is what I've been doing for the year that I've
been a Consultant for them.

I've been thinking I would probably enjoy doing a Stamping
business instead. I'm actually thinking about The Angel
Company because it's the ease of using and storing acrylic
stamps but it is a rubber stamp which is better for heat
embossing. Both of which I love.

I've mentioned this to dh.

Of course, I'd have to purchase a Consultant kit from TAC but
really that's true of any business. But their quota is much more
workable.

What do you think?

Happy Crafting.

Bunny Present

Easter Bunny
Hi!

I did this card using Sketch Saturday's Sketch# 45. Check it out
here.

And I used Basic Grey paper and created an Easter card which
is the challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges, it's
Challenge#29 - Easter/Spring Theme. Check it out here.

I did put my own spin on it though. I had to change it up just a
little by using straight ribbons for the bottom and a scallop shape
for the stamp itself. Other than that it's basically the same as the
sketch.

Easter cards are also the challenge at Our Creative Corner.
Check it out here. As well as on Ann's Creative Nook, here.

Materials Used:
Stamps: CTMH B1324 Bunny Love
Paper: CM Cardstock Honeydew, Basic Grey Pattern Paper Euphoria/Trance/Eup-1260

Adding this cool button

Hi!

I grabbed this cool button from 2 Scrappy Chix Designs.

There's a great gal, Terrie Lynn, in the meetup group that
I belong to and she had wanted us to nickname ourselves the

I don't remember how well that went but when I saw this button
it totally reminded me of that. So of course I had to grab it.

Cheerful Bunny + a video

Cheerful Bunny
Hi!

I made my first video ever for you guys. To show how to use Creative
Memories Custom Cutting System - Circles. You can order them
here. And for the mat and blades get them here.

If you're new to scrapbooking/cropping in general this is the best
way to get, not just the Custom Cutting System but all the essentials
that you need to get you started. Check it out here.

Here's the video:

Now onto the card. I found the card sketch at Sketch Saturday. It's
Sketch #44 sponsored by The Craft Barn.

Also this is my Spring/Easter card which is the challenge over at
Penny Black. The Challenge#42 is to Think Spring. And
the challenge over at The Pink Elephant is Easter. It's Challenge

When I look at this card it also reminds me of being silly which is
what I think of when I think of April Fools day which is the challenge
over at Fun-Frilled. Check it out here.
