Be Green - Bee Happy

Hi!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the
Can You Digi It? blog.

Today's challenge is Challenge #28 - Green Is Here!

For today's challenge I went totally Green.

How did I do this?

My project is a Bank - to keep "green" money in
or whatever color your money is.

This bank started out as a Skittles candy/bank container
from a couple of Christmases ago. I'd been holding onto
it for a while until I came up with a great project for it.
So it is "green" in that it has been recycled/upcycled.

And finally I went with using "green" and
a few other colors of designer paper to decorate this bank.
The designer paper is all from my personal scrap stash.

And that is how I accomplished this totally "green" project.
I did also get some help by using Mod Podge to adhere
all the scraps and to seal the papers onto my bank.

FYI this project was kinda out of my comfort zone as I do prefer to create either cards or scrapbook layouts. Although occassionally you may see that I do something totally out of the ordinary for me like make a 3D project, they are few and far between.

The best craft scissors

Hi!

Don't you just hate when your scissors get all gummed up?

One of my favorite things about crafting with friends is learning about what tools work best for them. Since y'all are my online friends I will try to share once a week what my favorite tools are.

Today I will share what my favorite everyday craft scissors are.

Recently I picked up the Fiskars Non-stick scissors.

Pros of these scissors
They have a non-stick coating. They are great for everyday use when making cards, scrapbooks, and cutting ribbons. I've also used these with things run through my Xyron, foam dimensionals, and glue dots and they come out cleanly.

Cons of these scissors
They are camo colored. Really that's the only con I could come up with.

The price for these was around $5, which in my opinion is a great bargain. Plus for every purchase a donation is made to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Life's too short

Hi!

I created this card for the Can You Digi It? Challenge #27 Getting Girly.

I don't know what it is but when I think of girly things I think of butterflies. So I just went with it.

You've got to check out what the rest of the Design Team did. It's just gorgeous.

God save the Queen

Hi!

I meant to post this earlier as I did it for the Can You Digi It? Design Team.

Oh, FYI if you are looking to join a Design Team, Can You Digi It? is looking for a
few NEW Design Team members. You can check it out over at Splitcoast Stampers.

This card was created for the CYDI? Challenge #26 - Sparkle, Sparkle.

ok in the UK
Stamps: C.Y.D.I. City Stamps
Paper: Doodlebug Design Inc Sugar Coated Cardstock, Heidi Grace Designs Tweet Memories
Ink: Canon MX700 printer
Accessories: Jolee's boutique Glitter Tiaras

I've been having the worst luck using DH's desktop recently. It's just frustrating.

Plus, now I'm late for designing a project for the DT now.

On the up side I did get all my paper scraps wrangled and all my wood blocks unmounted and cling mounted now.
