Dress form tag

Hi!

I just wanted to share with you this awesome tag that I created
for a fun swap I'm in over at SCS.

I signed up for a spot to do a dress form tag and card.

Today I'm sharing the tag with you.

This tag is created with a digi stamp from Can You Digi It?

I just LOVE digi stamps because you can do so much with them. And all you have to do is change the size for your project.

So for my tag I printed the Bingo Dress form twice. First on white cardstock and then on craft.

The craft cardstock was fussy cut. Which does take some patience. And trust me it's a virtue I need to learn to practice more often. I then sponged red ink onto the dress form.

The white cardstock was die cut, used an embossing folder, and then sponged ink onto. I believe I used a blue ink and a purple ink.
I'm sorry I don't recall the specific colors.

Stamps: LilyPink Designs Bingo Dress Form & Wings for C.Y.D.I.?
Ink: Canon MX700 printer
Accessories: Crayola Washable Glitter Glue, Tim Holtz Alterations Pocket Watches, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four
I went with a more vintage feel for my tags. I'm always so inspired
by Tim Holtz designs and other vintage types.

Although, I think my style is more CAS. Creating this tag was a lot of fun for me because it took me outside my crafting box.

What's a style that inspires you? Do you create that way or in a different style?

As cute as a button

Hi!

This week's challenge over at the Can You Digi It? blog
is all about Little Ones.

The design team was asked to create a project focusing on little ones.
Whether they be animals or children.

I went a little out of the box and created this card
perfect for expectant mothers.
Stamps: C.Y.D.I. Button Card
Paper: CTMH Hollyhock
Ink: Creative Memories journaling pen, Canon MX700
Accessories: Cuttlebug Just My Type, DCWV Baby Girl

If you have a chance to play along with us over at Can You Digi It? we'd love to see your creation.

You can use any digi stamp you have as long as your creation focuses on little ones.

Love on Film

Hi!

Now don't get scared. I know the title I picked is a bit misleading.

Actually, no film was used for the creating of today's project.

Although it does definitely reflect love.

This week over at the Can You Digi It? blog we have a new challenge.
In honor of Valentine's Day the CYDI Challenge #29 is "Love is in the Air".

For my creation I used the Love Tags set by LilyPink Designs along with
my Sizzix Filmstrip die.

I just love how it turned out. It does sort of remind me of those old classic movies.

Close To My Heart Scrubber Part 2

Hi!

Today I received the Close To My Heart scrubber. As I'd posted earlier this week. This is my 5th scrubber and they all crack down the middle.

I'm posting this as a record. I feel it's best to have this recorded in the off chance that this breaks.

From the picture you can see the small fissures that were also present on my last one. This is present from the moment I open the package it comes in.

I will also post pictures when I try to use it.

Hope y'all are having a great weekend.

Happy crafting,

Close To My Heart Scrubber

Hi!

For today's review I'm going over the Close to My Heart scrubber.

In my opinion it's the only thing in the catalog not worth getting.

I'm on my fourth one and I'm giving up on them. CTMH Home Office has been super nice about replacing it. Although this last time they asked me to explain how I'm using it. This is after returning the last one that broke to CTMH Home Office along with a detailed letter as to what happened the first three times it broke.

However given that this is my fourth one and they all crack. What's a girl to do?

The scrubber works great the times you get to use it. It's small and compact, which makes it great to take to crops. Not that I've ever gotten to do that. Nope mine just stays home with me and I only clean it with the CTMH My Acrylix Spritz.

The negative is that for no good reason it cracks down the middle and breaks in half. Seriously I have no explanation for why it should be doing this. It looks like now I'm getting a 5th one and will have to video tape it while using it to figure out what's going on. Also to have proof that I actually am only using it for its original intention. Since from my last conversation with CTMH Home Office I'm being treated as though I intentionally break these.

My DH who is a mechanical engineer says that it's due to bad design. He says the materials they used and how they manufacture it is the reason it keeps breaking. In his opinion the way this scrubber is designed will always end in it breaking.

It's a stamp scrubber for goodness sakes and I only can use it for at most a week before it breaks. I still have the double scrubber I got when I started stamping 7 years ago and the only thing wrong with it is that the scrubbing cloth on one side is no longer secure. I also have a double scrubber from TAC that still works and I got that 4 years ago.

I've only tried using the scrubber 2 ways. 1st by spraying the cleaner onto it as you would a double scrubber. 2nd by spraying onto the stamp and just using the scrubber for cleaning.

Now I hate to be negative about anything CTMH sells but I cannot endorse this particular item. And I want y'all to know the pros and cons for it.

This is only based off my experience with it. I belong to a CTMH Consultant group and from that I know some consultants have no problem with it.
