Let Our Own Light Shine

Hi!

I love the poem that you are about to read. The first time I remember hearing it
was during the movie Akeelah and the bee. If you haven't seen it you definitely
should. Like a lot of good movies it was originally a book, I think it may even
be one of Oprah's faves.

LET OUR OWN LIGHT SHINE

Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves:
'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others."
~originally by Marianne Williamson ~ often attributed to Nelson Mandela

Remember that today is Good Friday and that Sunday is Resurrection
Sunday. We are all children of God and he loves us so much that
he sent is only begotten Son to atone and die for us that we might be
with him again.

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Crafting.

M.E.
