Paris

Bonjour!

Today's post is featuring something definitely out of the box for me.

It's not a card or a scrapbook layout. Nope, today I'm sharing with you this lovely necklace I created for the Can You Digi It? blog challenge #36 - Anything but a Card.

Stamps: C.Y.D.I. City Stamps
 Ink: StazOn Jet Black
Accessories: Industrial Chic Jump Ring, Bead Landing Cording, Rummikub game piece

I just love French and France. I love France from a design aspect and the French language is lovely.

Way back when I was in Middle School, I took French. I even got an award for being "c'est magnifique" in the way I spoke French.

If you have a chance to play along with us over at the Can You Digi It? blog we'd love to see your creation.

Happy Crafting,
M.E.

Let's celebrate

Hi!

Can you believe summer is almost here!

That alone is reason to celebrate.

And I just love the CTMH Dream Pop paper pack. Which is still available for a limited time. It's the current constant campaign for the month of May. I will be announcing next month's campaign in a couple of days.

Another reason to celebrate is this wonderful sketch for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #4.

I saw a cool technique on Pinterest. But I can't recall who the original pinner was.

The supplies needed to complete it are post-its, a sponge, and ink to create this sunburst effect. In addition, I used a ruler and a pencil. I did try to erase most of the pencil marks though some are left behind. I feel that it adds character to the card.

Stamps: CTMH Pinwheel
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Dream Pop
Ink: CTMH Buttercup, Cranberry, Archival Black
Accessories: CTMH Round Sponge, Bazzill Basics Ribbon Black Dashed, Post-its
If you have time to play along with us over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. We'd love to see your creation. On Wednesday there will be some amazing art work inspired by the sketch and created by the Design Team.

Happy crafting,
M.E.

Are you ready for summer?

Hi!

Are you as ready for the summer as I am?

Just a couple more weeks and I get to take my summer vacation. Now granted I don't get to go to the beach. Although, my hubby did say I would get to see a lot of beach. LOL.

We're going on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and we're taking lots of stops along the way including one to White Sands, NM.

But for the rest of you lucky ducks who do get to go to the real beach, I've got some inspiration for you.

This cutie from Squigglefly is called Beach Cutie. I've had her in my digi stamp collection a while. Well definitely from back when I was on the Squigglefly DT.

I just love digi stamps because you can do so many things with them and there's no size limit to them. And I've been fortunate to work on the DTs of some great digi stamp companies.

Personally, I'm a hybrid girl. Meaning I love all forms of stamping and scrapbooking from traditional to digital. My hubby says why do the traditional route when digital is so customizable.

Stamps: CTMH My Sunshine, Squigglefly Beach Cutie
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Bazzill Basics Paper Apple Crush
Ink: CTMH Buttercup, Copic R11, R00, R35, E00, E31, Sharpies, Tombow ABT
Accessories: CM Corner Rounder, SU Cloudy Day Textured Impressions EF

I'm entering this card in quite a few challenges:
On Splitcoaststampers I'm entering it into the CAS220 challenge

The other challenges I'm entering this into are
Fetch A Sketch Challenge 50
Color Throwdown #242
Pile It On #19 - For a Teen

National Scrapbooking Month

Hi!

Did you know that this month is National Scrapbooking Month?!?

It's my favorite month of the year because it takes me back to how I started in this hobby.

Yes. I know I post a great deal of cards. But I did start this hobby out by creating a scrapbook
as my wedding album.

Close To My Heart is celebrating National Scrapbooking Month with a unique paper packet at a bargain price. Watch the video to get your creative juices flowing!

I just love this paper pack that is featured in this video. And it's exclusively available this month in my CTMH shop.

Happy Crafting,
M.E.
