Caged bird

Hi!

Today over on Handmade Harbour we've got a fun new challenge for everyone. The theme is Anything Goes.

For today's card I used a couple of different techniques
  • I sponged ink onto the card
  • used my sewing machine
  • and used colored pencils along with Gamsol
I really like the result.

Stamps: Handmade Harbour 102 digital stamp - birdcage in branches
Color Medium: CTMH Pacifica, Martha Stewart Eucalyptus, Sea Green, Daffodil, Cinnamon, Starfish, Bubble Gum, Persimmon
Accessories: Lil' Sew & Sew, Gamsol, CTMH Round Sponge

What do you think?

Have you ever used so many various techniques on the same project?

We'd love to have you play along with us over at the Handmade Harbour blog. And if you use a Handmade Harbour image you are eligible to win a prize.

If you don't have any there is a FREE one available HERE

Happy Crafting,
M.E.

Manly card? Feminine card? Why not both

Hi!

I got a chance to play along with the mini VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) over at SCS this weekend.

Oh, and just a heads up the main VSN will start on September 13th. Y'all will definitely want to play along with us.

The challenge which can be found here: SEP13VSNMINIB Title: Men & Women

The challenge was to create two cards using about the same elements but make one masculine and the other feminine.

I'm also entering these cards into the One Crazy Stamper August Birthday Challenge and Guest DT Call.
Stamps: CTMH Joyful Birthday Occasions, Unity Stamp Co. Cowgirl Up, SU! Starstruck
Paper: SU! Chocolate Chip
Ink: CTMH Cotton Candy, Archival Black
Accessories: CM Small Circle ShapeMaker, MFT Die-namics Star Stax, CTMH Durables Round Studs

So what do you think? Do you think these cards do well to represent for masculine and feminine?

Have you ever tried to challenge yourself to do something similar to this? If so I'd love to see what you created.

Happy Crafting,
M.E.

Summer Bear Hugs

This week my scrapbook group did a Animals/Insects Card Swap. Every month we try to do a card swap with a different theme. Do you have a fun scrapbook group where you are?

Since it's the summer there aren't too many cards to show you:(  But the ones that were
created are awesome.

This is my card. I used the sketch from Anyone for Anya?: Simple Sketch Sunday.

Stamps: TGF
Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Ink: Palette Noir Black, Copic E33 Sand, Bic Mark-it Pink Flamingo, Woodsy Brown, Honey Brown
Accessories: Regency Baker's Twine, Stampin' Up punch

I love The Greeting Farm stamps, they are adorable. I wish I could share the name of this stamp set with you. But I can't seem to find it anywhere.

My friends Gia and Lori created the following cards. Aren't they awesome!?!

Gia's card

Lori's card
Can you tell that Lori's favorite color is purple;)

Please post below about any fun scrapbook
groups you belong to and what kind of fun
things y'all do.
