Fair well to TCC

Hi!

This is my last Feature Friday with The Character Cafe and wouldn't you know it I'm late
for the party.

So I'm going to do a review of some of my fave cards that I've made while I've been on the
DT.

Enjoy.

Boo! to you

Boo
Hi!

TGIF. Yay!! It's finally Friday can you believe it.

And for those of you lucky enough to get a 4 day weekend like my dh. I'm sooo
jealous.

Oh, well at least I get out early on Saturday and am off Sunday and Monday.

The sketch for this card came from 2 Sketches 4 You, it's Kazan's Sketch 34.

And the eyes are part of the WIW on The Character Cafe blog, which is Using Stickles.

But, of course, as you know I do try to keep my spending on supplies really low. Which is why instead of using Stickles I use Crayola Glitter Glue. Which works just as well but I think you get a better value.

The ribbon and some of the cardstock come from my personal stash.

Materials Used:
Stamps: TCC Boo Witchy
Paper: Wausau paper, CM Cardstock Black, White

Ink: Copic E00 Skin White, Sharpie, Bic Mark-it Woodsy Brown, Honey Brown, Key Lime, Sunset Orange, Yellow Blaze, Moonstone Yellow
Accessories: Crayola Glitter Glue

TGIF is here

Boo to You

Hi!

TGIF, Thank Goodness It's Friday!

Woohoo. My favorite day of the week, even if I have to work Saturday.

That's usually cause I try to sneak out of work early. Well not really sneak
since I put when I leave on my time sheet. But you know what I mean.

Oh, well, not tomorrow though. I'm working with a "New" employee. Well, at
least someone that started while I was gone.

Anywho, the WIW challenge over at The Character Cafe blog is Sketcherific.

That's right a sketch was provided for this week's challenge.

Check it out here.

The sentiment stamp is an Exclusive TAC stamp set called Label Lingo. It's one
of the hostess stamps.

Do you have a TAC Angel? If not I'd love to help you with any needs you may have
feel free to email me at cr8iveme@gmail.com

Materials Used:
Stamps: TCC Pumpkin Petra, TAC Label Lingo
Paper: Wausau paper, CM Spiced Cider, Black Cardstock, SU!

Ink: Copic E00 Skin White, W2 Warm Gray No. 2, Sharpie, Bic Mark-it Key Lime,Polynesian Purple, Summer Melon, Sunset Orange, Honey Brown, TAC Palette Noir Black
Accessories: Halloween ribbon from my stash I think I got it at Micheal's

presents
Hi!

TGIFF, Thank Goodness it's Feature Friday.

The WIW, Work it Wednesday challenge for this week at the TCC blog
is to use ribbon on your card. You can find the challenge here. Well, if
you're anything like me you've got ribbon coming out of your ears.

That's probably my top listed scrapbooking item that I purchase after paper,
and designer paper, of course.

Since the theme for this week was ribbon I thought this image worked best for
it. You can find Gift Giver Kitt-E here along with the July releases.

Materials Used:
Stamps: The Character Cafe Gift Giver Kitt-E
Paper: Wausau paper, CM Cardstock White, Heidi Grace Designs Double Sided Cardstock Paper Jolly & Bright/Mini Dots

Ink:
Copic V06 Lavender, Sharpies, Bic Mark-it Fandango Pink Plumtastic Purple, Polynesian Purple, Moonstone Yellow, Stone Grey, Cloud Nine Grey, Forest Green, Key Lime

Forest Fir of Feature Friday

Angel in the Forest
Hi!

Today is Feature Friday and I'm using the Work It Wednesday technique.

Which is to Create a Scene with your cards.

I found this great trees stamp at Archiver's in the Clearance section. That section
and the Hot Spot are my two favorite parts of that store to visit. Plus, this stamp
was actually 75% off. Can't beat that with a stick.

And of course, the super cute digi is from The Character Cafe.

Materials Used:
Stamps: The Characater Cafe, Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc.
Paper: Wausau paper, CM Cardstock White

Ink:
Copic E00 Skin White, W2 Warm Gray No.2, Bic Mark-it Forest Green, For-Ever Green, Desert Rose, Yellow Blaze, Lemon Bliss, Marvy Brush Marker No.18 Dark Brown, No.48 Leaf Green

Just buzzin' about Feature Friday

Just buzzin'
Hi!

I wanted to share with you one of the images from the new release from The Character Cafe.

Also have you visited the TCC blog. Well, there are a variety of interesting challenges posted every Work It Wednesday. This weeks challenge was to use stitching.

Usually I use my Bazzill Basics Paper In-Stitch'z Template. But since we're in the middle of switching offices I'm having trouble finding some of my supplies. So I had to go back to my good old trusting sewing kit and back to the basics a little on this card.

Hopefully, DH will help by getting his office packed soon.

This week there is a Guest Design Team member for TCC. Her name is Verda and her blog is
here. She's super talented. And you can catch her interview here.

Materials Used:
Stamps: The Character Cafe,
Paper: CM Cardstock White, Black, Wausau white

Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black, Sharpie, Bic Mark-it Yellow Blaze, Moonstone Yellow, Stone Grey, Hot Aqua, Tranquil Teal

Accessories: CM Custom Cutting System Ovals, Crayola Glitter Glue, SU! Designer Buttons

Work It Wednesday

Happy Cupcake Day completed tut card

Hi!

I'm in charge of Work It Wednesday over at The Character Cafe blog.

The technique we will be trying out today is on how to use Liquid Applique on
your image.

This is a very fun technique and can be used not only on digital images but also on
any stamped image.

If you are a regular follower of my blog you know that I've already done a Video Tutorial on this previously. But last time I did it using a stamped image and this time I'm using a digi image.

Above is the Video Tutorial. I am also including a Scribd version of the Tutorial.

Liquid Applique Technique

And for some reason I'm still missing the mark on where to show the difference on the image and this way you can read it as well as see the difference between what the image looks like before it is completely heated.

Materials Used:
Stamps: TCC Cupcake Pewter, Amuse Clear Stamps Cupcake Set
Paper: Wausau paper, Doodlebug, CM cardstock Pink Lemonade, Honeydew

Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black, Spica Silver, Copic R35 Coral, RV13 Tender Pink, Y02 Canary Yellow, Sharpie, Sakura Souffle, Bic Mark-it Pink Flamingo, Stone Grey, Cloud Nine Grey
Accessories: SU! Heat Tool, Liquid Applique, Sizzix Cupcake

Friday Showcase @ TCC Week 2

Mary's Birthday Princess
Hi!

It's Week 2 at The Character Cafe.

I think I'll probably try to shorten that to TCC or The Cafe in future posts.

This week we were challenged to use ribbon on our cards.

Since it's the Summer I'm trying to take it easy and not over exert myself
since we're experiencing a heat wave here in Central Texas. We've actually hit
a record with how many consecutive days we've been at over 100 degrees F
outside.

So I did use ribbon just not as much as some of the other girls on the DT.

But, I still think she's very cute.

Oh and if you're wondering where'd I find such small pearls I found them at
Micheal's. And they cost as much as the pearls that Hero Arts sells but these
come in 3 varying sizes as opposed to 2. So I get more bang for my $1.99 which
is nice.

I created this card to be for a birthday and decided I'd put the sentiment inside.

DH said all the card needs is a little Mario in the background.

Next week, on Wednesday 1 July, TCC will be launching the Work it Wednesday Challenge. One of the Design Team members will bring you a featured technique/theme and a challenge with a prize. I hope you will play along!

Also, be sure to go check out what the rest of the team did this week! >>>>

Materials Used:
Stamps: TCC Princess Ally
Paper: Wausau paper, CM Cardstock White, Imaginisce Mushroom Fancy

Ink:
Copic E00 Skin White, R00 Pinkish White, R11 Pale Cherry Pink, Sharpie, Sakura Souffle, Sakura Glaze, Bic Mark-it Honey Brown, Woodsy Brown, Hot Aqua, Polynesian Purple, Playful Purple
Accessories: DCWV All Dressed Up Modern

The Character Cafe Blog Hop

bride & groom
Hi!

Welcome to the 1st Character Cafe Blog Hop.

It's our way of introducing not just the images but also the DT.

If you started the hop here you will definitely want to go back and
start at the beginning and make it all the way to the end.

Why you may ask? Well, because everyone along the hop with the
exception of me has a part of the key word that will get you a 50%
discount on The Character Cafe characters.

Now, you may wonder why don't I have part of the key word here. Well,
that's because I get to have our Freebie as a reward for everyone whose
made it this far along the hop.

So where do you start the hop? At the Cafe DT page.

Whose next on the hop? It's Heather.

Also, while your doing the blog hop be sure to leave a message on each blog because
in addition to the piece of the code that each person has. TCC is also giving away 3
FREE digis to someone on the hop but you have to leave a message on each blog.

Wait don't hop away yet. You forgot that I have a Freebie for you because you've made
it this far on the hop. And HERE it is.

Please make sure to leave some love on everyone's blog and if you like what you see you could become a Follower of the blogs.

If you haven't hopped away yet and are interested in my card. I created it using the Mojo Monday Week 91 sketch. They've got great sketches on their blog. It's definitely one of the places I go to when I need a card sketch.
