There's still time to order supplies for making your own Christmas and holiday cards. Plus, if you've got some paper crafters on your Christmas list or you need to give your family some ideas on Christmas gifts, you should definitely check out my CTMH shop, if you don't have a consultant.

Operation Write Home WCMD Blog Hop

Hi!

Welcome to Operation Write Home's World Card Making Day Blog Hop!

For this hop we were challenged to make thank you cards based on one of the OWH sketches. The sketch I chose to work with is Sketch #165.

I chose to make mine an AnyHero card. After all the troops do so much for us. Whether the rest of the government is working or not.

Stamps: CTMH Pinwheel, Courage
Paper: CTMH White Daisy

Ink: CTMH Ruby, Pacifica
Accessories: DCWV Uptown Adhesive Ribbon, Martha Stewart Embossed ZigZag edge punch

The other reason I chose to make an AnyHero card is because over the past couple of months my husband has had to go to China for business. When we spoke my husband would share with me how much he missed everyday things like going to the movies or good American cooking.

It made me think about how much we take for granted being here in America. And what the troops really do sacrifice for our freedom.

That's why I'm so happy to participate in this blog hop and to be a supporter of Operation Write Home.

Happy Crafting,
M.E.

World Card Making Day Hop

Hi!

Happy World Card Making Day!!!! I hope you are ready for an awesome blog hop. Also please feel free to check out my blog candy giveaway. Hopefully you are feeling inspired to celebrate and make cards and also send them off to Operation Write Home, if you are in the USA, or a similar organization if you are out of the US.

The troops do so much for us the least we can do is to send them some of the cards we create.

Although, we may not be ready to think about Christmas. Right now is the time to think about shipping our homemade Christmas cards to the troops.

The blog hop participants were given 2 challenges:
  1. make a wintry card (holiday themed secular/religious, or other OWH-themes with a winter feel)
  2. use a sketch
This is the great sketch I found over at the OWH site

Stamps: CTMH Perfect Fit - Holidays Holiday, Bethlehem(retired)
Paper: CTMH Pear & Partridge Paper Packet
Ink: CTMH Chocolate
Accessories: Spellbinders Scalloped Circle

OWH Spring Break Blog Hop

Hi!

Welcome to the OWH Spring Break Blog Hop! You should have just visited Brianne's blog, she made an adorable card and has some fantastic blog candy, too. If not, you don't want to miss anything, because there's great tutorials and blog candy throughout the hop, so you should
start here at the Stars and Stamps blog. And speaking of blog candy if you look below you will find that I have some awesome bumper stickers as blog candy today along with whatever else I can stick in the same envelope.

These are some of the upcoming Deadlines. Don't forget the troops have these celebrations coming up too, but unlike us they can't just go head down to the Hallmark Store and pick out a card. So they need our help.

Card Deadlines:

Mother's Day: April 1
Graduation: April 19
Father's Day: May 15
All other cards: anytime!

A little about OWH.

Operation Write Home began in 2007 with just a few cards made by friends on a message board; what began as an outlet for a hobby has become a much larger mission to help heroes keep in touch with home - and the effort has been joined by thousands of cardmakers!

OWH receives handmade cards donated by crafters across America (and beyond!). Cardmakers range in age, location, and level of skill; cards are provided by individuals and groups, schools and scouts, companies and churches. All have one primary thing in common: a desire to serve those who
defend our nation!

This is my creation for the hop:
Hi OWH
For this I wanted something springy that would PoP! And because I couldn't pick just one stamp to use. I decided to go for simple. So this is all done using die cuts from Quickutz and Sizzix. I believe the dp is from Stampin' Up!

Also, I am offering some blog candy. All you need to do is create a card using chipboard along with your_at_email.address and post it back here for a chance at the candy below. The only other rule I have about this candy is that I will only send it in the USA .You don't even have to become a Follower unless you want to ;).

I will also add some other goodies that I can fit into the same envelope as these bumper stickers. Here's a pic of some of the candy you'll be getting. I'll draw the winner at midnight on Tuesday 3/23/2010.
OWH candy

We were asked to say a little something about why we are participating in the hop. And there's not really 1 specific reason for me. I mean I live in Austin, TX which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Ft. Hood. If you don't know about what happened at Ft. Hood, here's a link you can read.

Plus, the men in my family have served our Country, including my Step-dad's brother. And my mom and step-dad aren't even from this country they're from the Philippines so believe me I am fortunate to be born in the USA. So if my making a card and sharing a little information with you helps show our troops how much we care for them I'm more than happy to do so. I just wish I could do more because the Troops do so much for us.

So please remember these deadlines.
Card Deadlines:
Mother's Day: April 1
Graduation: April 19
Father's Day: May 15
All other cards: anytime!

Your next stop on the hop is Stephanie's blog.

Love Letter Blog Hop

P1020262

Hi!

Welcome to the Love Letter Blog Hop sponsored by Michelle Perkett Studio!

If you've just happened upon my blog you can click HERE to start.

Otherwise you should have just come from the blog of Micki. Didn't she do a
fantastic job!

The card I created today uses the OCC Sketch Blog's OCCSC1 sketch, check it out here.

My Love Letter is to my dear husband. He's such a wonderful guy and even
though we don't always agree with each other we do still love and support one another.

Words aren't always my strong suit. But at least whenever I really want to show
my hubby how much I care I can sing him our song.

Don't worry I won't hurt your ears by singing it. However, I did want to share it here.

Now onto the lovely and talented Sheng. I can't wait to see what she created.

Happy Crafting.

from my fave book series Twilight. If Santa could turn back time I would

Christmas Wish Blog Hop

Hi!

Welcome to the Christmas Wish Blog Hop sponsored by Michelle Perkett Studio!

If you've just happened upon my blog you can click HERE to start.

Otherwise you should have just come from Pattie's blog. Didn't she do a
fantastic job!

Wishing angel card
Materials Used:
Stamps: Michelle Perkett Studio Wishing Star Angel
Ink: Bic Mark-It Honey Brown, Woodsy Brown, Midnight Navy, Polynesian Purple, Plumtastic Purple, Misty Blue, Pink Flamingo, Yellow Blaze, Lemon Bliss, Sharpies, Copic W2 Warm Gray No. 2, YG11 Mignonette, RV13 Tender Pink, R00 Pinkish White, E00 Skin White
Accessories: Bowdabra Bow Wire, Bazzill Basics Ribbon Black Dashed

My Christmas Wish is for a dear friend of my hubby's family. First, let me tell
you about his family. They let my hubby live with them his Junior and Senior year
of High School because his parents were busy moving the rest of the family
across the country. (That was the year his oldest brother, grandmother, youngest
sister and parents moved from various locations in the US to other locations in the
US.) And my hubby's parents were going to settle down here in Austin, TX. Well
they sent my hubby down here first and they didn't want to leave him completely
by himself with no one to parent him. So he moved in with this family, they also
had 2 twin boys about my hubby's age. So he's practically a 2nd dad to my
hubby. In fact, when we first were married we moved into the same ward as his
family and he and his wife were so kind to us and helped us to fit right in.

Well, recently he was in a car accident. And is now paralyzed from the waist
down. The doctor's don't know if he'll walk again. So my
Christmas Wish is that
he will get a Christmas miracle and be able to walk again.

Now onto the lovely and talented Debb. I can't wait to see what she created.

Happy Crafting.

I've been a big fan since I became aware of them during the last blog hop, and I'm so excited that to be participating in the Veteran's Day Blog Hop! For more information on OWH, and to learn how to send your own cards, please visit their very comprehensive site.

If you need to go back to the beginning of the hop - click here to get started. Make sure you stop back here! :)

We were asked to do an Any Hero card. I posted this earlier this week you can find the deets here.

They need to know how much we love them.

Oh, and if you're interested I have some Blogoversary blog candy up for grabs. Check it out here. But after you've finished with the hop.
